With a speed and a connection speed faster than 4G, 5G is trying to deploy in France. More than 500 5G antennas are active in the Center-Val de Loire region, a majority of which in the Loiret and Indre-et-Loire. But in Eure-et-Loir, how is the new network being deployed?
Zone ASDL made a point for the department. Eighty antennas are active in Eure-et-Loir, including four in the city of Chartres (Eure-et-Loir). Nine are installed in the inner suburb of Chartres.
Free Mobile has the most branches in the region
Operators are coming to install this new generation of wireless networks in Center-Val de Loire.
In April 2021, Free Mobile had the largest number of 5G antennas in Center-Val de Loire, followed by SFR and Bouygues.
Indeed, in the agglomeration of Chartres, one finds practically only antennas of Free Mobile.
The operator Orange has the least, according to the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Posts (Arcep), chaired by Laure de la Raudière.
