A new focus in Planta Centro, between the municipalities Juan José Mora and Puerto Cabello, with 13 confirmed cases, places the number of infections in Carabobo at 58 positive cases, reported Governor Rafael Lacava.

Through his instagram account, Lacava assured that the contagion focus of Planta Centro is totally confined. 801 rapid tests were performed, of which only 13 were positive.

According to the president, the sanitary cord in the area is fully guaranteed. It is expected to verify the rest of the PCR pending results, which must be known between Monday and Tuesday.

In the video, Lacava is accompanied by the president of Insalud, Juan Carlos Yánez, the head of the Cuban mission, Fernando González; and the Cuban consul, Damián Cordero.

Lacava asked the citizens for caution, great caution. “Do not neglect this issue of COVID-19, we have a phase of increased contagion in the country and we must worry about preventing this from continuing to spread. We must act with caution, with great caution. This is real, we must not neglect it ”.

The governor assured that the imported cases are isolated, in sanitary cords with the support of the Cuban mission. At the same time, he recognized the work of doctors and nurses in the state.

Isolated cases in the rest of the municipalities are being attended to, Lacava said, without specifying which are those municipalities.

That 65% of the cases in the entity are asymptomatic shows, according to Lacava, that the viral load in Carabobo is very low, but this should not be neglected.
