One more year the solidarity of the Alcazareños, the people of the region and even some who live very far away and who are already regular collaborators of the Cervantina Society of Alcázar has been made clear with the collection of 500 books in the Campaign “No child / a without imagination ”which this year has reached its fourth edition.
The vice president of the Sociedad Cervantina de Alcázar, Luis Miguel Román Alhambra presented Milagros Plaza, president of the El Sosiego Cultural and Social Association, of the large number of children’s and young people’s books, some of them totally new (acquired on purpose to donate them in this campaign), as well as even complete encyclopedias; An act that took place on Thursday afternoon so that with these books and together with the toys that they have collected in their traditional campaign, they create lots for the most disadvantaged children.
The El Sosiego Association has been doing this great social work for more than ten years, which contrasts with the scarcity of means at their disposal, which makes their work much more valuable, this was precisely what prompted the Sociedad Cervantina de Alcázar to collaborate with them in a cooperation that has lasted for four years.
However, we want to emphasize that the success of this campaign would not have been possible without the collaboration of so many private people, teachers, writers, institutions such as the Municipal Library of Alcázar de San Juan, etc … For that we thank all who have collaborated with us and we are proud to see how there are still many people who have the stamp of solidarity and who put themselves in the place of those who have it more difficult, especially in these Christmas holidays that are already approaching and with the help of We all hope we have done our bit so that joy and excitement enter many homes.
