In Ukraine, the minimum pension is being raised from UAH 1,769 to UAH 1,854. Also, the increase in pensions from October 1 will affect 1 million pensioners.

In Ukraine, from July 1, 2021, it is planned to increase pensions for some categories of pensioners. So, out of 11 million Ukrainian pensioners, increased payments are provided for five million, according to website Ministry of Social Policy.

So, in connection with the increase in the subsistence minimum for persons who have lost the ability to work, from 1,769 hryvnia to 1,854 hryvnia increases:

• minimum pension from UAH 1,769 to UAH 1,854;

• allowances to pensions for excess insurance length of service, monthly state targeted assistance to pensions for war veterans and invalids, pensions for special merit.

Also, from July 1, an increase in the amount of 100 hryvnia will be established to the insurance pension assigned in 2019-2020, which has not been transferred since 2019.

It is specified that the increase in pensions from October 1 will affect almost one million pensioners.

We add that Pensions for liquidators of the Chernobyl accident have been increased… Now liquidators of the accident will receive from 8.9 thousand hryvnia to 16 thousand hryvnia. The increase will affect 39 thousand people.
