“We are very grateful to the mayors and law enforcement officers of the municipalities of Linden, Nieuwrode, Bertem, Kumtich and Rillaar, who we will visit from Wednesday. Without their approval, there would be no Tour of Flemish Brabant,” said organizer Eddy Lissens.
“We are happy that we can organize, although we would have preferred it in a completely different way. This edition will start as a very strict” light “version. That is, no VIPs, no audience at start and finish and everyone must adhere to the regulations in force. “
“Where else we beg for an audience, we now ask the cycling fans not to come and watch the stages. I think the riders want to race as long as possible and that is only possible if everyone will strictly adhere to the laws and regulations.”

The field of participants is upholstered with a few professional teams. “The Tour of Flemish Brabant starts with a mix of teams with promises, elite drivers without a contract and elite drivers with a contract,” says the organizer.
“The latter include Laurens Sweeck and Eli Iserbyt (Pauwels Sauzen-Bingoal), Toon Aerts and Jim Aernouts (Telenet-Baloise Lions) and Jonas Rickaert with Roy Jans (Alpecin-Fenix). We are already looking forward to this edition. “
