The system font size and all elements will be the same size as on the laptop screen.
If you set the font scaling to 150% in the system, the size of the elements will roughly correspond to a classic 27 “display with a resolution of 1440p and scaling of 100%. The windows will jump a little when dragged between monitors, but they will retain their size when dragged. At 4K resolution, of course, you get more finely drawn characters without visible teeth on the edges.
