The number of new corona infections in Flemish residential care centers has almost doubled in one week, from 226 last week to 429 Friday. A center in Sint-Lievens-Houtem – where at least 36 employees have already tested positive – went into lockdown and in Ypres no fewer than 47 new infections were registered in one institution in three days.
