41-Year-Old Man on Trial for Alleged Fake Burglary in Bötzow: An Examination of the Case

Bötzow. Because of an alleged burglary in his own house, Jens S. is in the dock of the Oranienburg District Court. That sounds wrong, but from the point of view of the public prosecutor’s office it is correct. She believes that the suspect faked the burglary in order to get €120,000 from the insurance company. The 41-year-old denies this accusation. Valuable watches, jewelry and cash are said to have been in this amount in the allegedly stolen safe. However, the investigators in this case came to the suspicion that this theft did not take place at all.
