Then, for those who want to enjoy every minute of their vacation they might want to try a few tricks to speed up the arrival time of their luggage at pick-up luggage. Here’s how it was reported by Travel + Leisure.
First
The first way is to ask the representative at the check-in counter to put a fragile sticker on the traveler’s suitcase or bag.
So a suitcase or bag that is marked as fragile will usually be loaded later and out before the other bags. Plus, they also tend to get less wear and tear or scuffing.
The downside of this tactic is that sometimes these stickers may not be seen or noticed by staff.
Second
Another tactic suggested by ramp worker and gate agent Thomas Lo Sciuto on the Quora page is to wait to be the last person to check in.
“Bags will always be loaded front to back on the bag cart, so if you check in last, your bag will be in the last bag cart, which will make it the last on the plane, and the first to get off the plane at your destination.” wrote Sciuto.
“If bags or suitcases are the first to get off the plane, they are more likely to be first on the bag train and then the first to be dropped off at baggage claim,” he added.
Third
Sciuto also says one of the best ways to do this is to gently ask if they can check your bag. However you will not be able to carry any liquids or items that cannot be carried through security.
Please note that loading and unloading systems can sometimes vary depending on the airline, aircraft or baggage handling team, which is why in some cases those who checked in last may not get their bags first.
Fourth
Two other surefire ways to ensure your bags arrive before anyone else is to book a first or business class flight. Or, you’ll need to join an airline frequent flier club in order to receive a priority label on your bag or suitcase.
