3×3 World Tour: “Riga” European GP starts with two victories, Saturday at 19:15 quarterfinals

Latvia’s best 3×3 basketball team “Riga” (Agnis Čavars, Edgars Krūmiņš, Kārlis Lasmanis and Nauris Miezis) started on Friday, September 4, in the Hungarian city of Debrecen in the third stage of the World Tour – European GP in the fight.

Also in the third stage, “Riga” was placed with the 3rd number (the first two – for the Serbian teams “Liman” and “Novi Sad”). In the Group C tournament, the Rigans beat the home team “Debrecen” in the first game with 21:12, but in the second game with 21:19 they defeated the Slovenian team “Piran”, securing the 1st place in the group and the right to play in the quarterfinals on Saturday. At 19:15 the opponents will have the second best team in group A.

During eight days, three stages of the World Tour will be played in Debrecen. In the first semi-final, “Riga” lost to the Lithuanian team “Utena” and took the 3rd place. In the second stage, the people of Riga won the first place.

“Riga” has become the leader in the overall ranking of the world tour (170 points). Followed by Liman (140) and Novi Sad (130).

The FIBA ​​calendar includes several more stages of the World Tour in Japan, China and the Middle East until the end of the year, but it will be clear later. Previously, for the safety of players, FIBA ​​has already canceled the U18 and U23 World Cups, the European Championship and several stages of the World Tour, as well as frozen international ratings.
