Talking to Dan Viet, Mr. Thai Van Truyen – General Director of Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said that from 8:00 a.m. on October 20, the sugar industry will widely organize individual ticket sales for all customers with The need to buy train tickets for Tet Giap Thin 2024 at stations, through ticket sales websites, on e-wallet applications, train ticket sales apps and through ticket sales switchboards.
As of 3:00 p.m. on the same day, the total number of successfully booked tickets was more than 37,000 tickets. The number of paid tickets is about 20,000 tickets.

Mr. Truyen said that to ensure people buy tickets easily, this year, the railway industry has deployed communication plans to sell tickets early and widely propagated so that passengers can get information.
At the stations, there are full arrangements of ticket sales staff, customer guides, and young volunteers to assist customers in getting their order numbers and buying tickets.
In particular, from the time of ticket sales up to this point, the online ticket sales system, ticket sales at stations, ticket sales points, and agents have operated normally, with no network congestion.
Previously, from October 15 to October 19, 2023, the railway industry opened collective ticket sales for registered units (priority is given to the people’s armed forces, universities, and high schools). colleges, industrial parks, export processing zones, social organizations…), the company’s number of tickets sold in 5 days is 3,500 tickets.

Railway industry leaders said that the unit is implementing many incentive programs to stimulate passenger demand. Especially during the peak period of Tet Giap Thin 2024 (afternoon from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi before Tet, afternoon from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City after Tet), 3% discount on ticket prices for trains departing at Saigon station on February 8, 2024 (ie December 29 of the lunar calendar) and traveling 1,000km or more, 5% discount on return ticket prices for passengers buying round-trip tickets, 20% discount on ticket prices for students from the date January 26 to January 31, 2024, from February 9 to February 26, 2024 (for even-numbered trains) and from February 9 to February 12, 2024; from February 20 to February 26, 2024 (for odd-numbered trains); Other periods are reduced by 10%.
During off-peak periods (afternoon from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City before Tet, afternoon from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi after Tet), the company also carries out promotions, reducing ticket prices from 5% to 30%. Passengers buy long-distance tickets, group tickets, round-trip tickets…
