Venezuela surpassed this Wednesday, July 29, the 17,000 cases of covid-19coronavirus. At 11:55 pm, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez reported that 574 new infections of community transmission were detected, in addition to 13 imported infections totaling 587 more cases in the country.
The entity that registered the most patients was the Capital District (289); being the parishes with the highest number of infections El Valle (86), Catia (29) and Coche (17), in addition to the circulation of the virus in all parishes, he explained on twitter.
Zulia registered, in 24 hours, another 34 cases. It was the fourth entity to report infections this day.
The 13 imports were detected in Venezuelans from Colombia, Rodríguez said.
“As of today (29-J),” he tweeted, “Venezuela has a total of 17,158 cases of # COVID19, of which only 6,583 are active. It is important to note that 61% of patients (10,421) are recovered” .
The vice president pointed out, in a first tweet, that there were five deaths on the day. But, after midnight, she corrected saying that three were deceased.
He specified that the victims were all men and that the deaths had occurred in Miranda (Baruta), Capital District (El Valle) and Carabobo (Tocuyito).
