[아시아경제 박소연 기자] Although the number of new confirmed cases of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Korea turned to a marked decline, confirmations continued throughout the country on the 19th.
According to the quarantine authorities and local governments such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government, a total of 326 new confirmed cases nationwide tested positive for Corona 19 from 0 a.m. to 6 p.m.
23 more than the 303 counted at the same time the day before.
In the area where confirmed cases were found, 257 (78.8%) in the metropolitan area and 69 (21.2%) in the non-metropolitan area.
By city and province, there were 125 in Seoul, 118 in Gyeonggi, 14 in Incheon, 9 in Daegu, 8 in Busan and Gwangju, 6 in each of Ulsan and Gangwon, 5 in each of Gyeongbuk and Chungnam, 3 in Jeju, and 1 in each of Daejeon and Chungbuk. .
There were no confirmed cases in Sejong, Jeonbuk and Jeonnam out of 17 cities and provinces.
As there is still time until midnight when the count is closed, the number of new confirmed cases to be announced as of 0:00 on the 20th is expected to increase. Looking at the recent trend of confirmed cases, it is expected that there will be around 400 in the late 300s.
On the previous day, after 6 p.m., an additional 83 people increased and ended with 386 people.
