Morelia, Michoacan (MiMorelia.com) .- With strict health protocols, this Saturday began the application of Admission exams for the Faculty of Medical and Biological Sciences “Dr Ignacio Chávez” of the Michoacan University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH), which will be applied during the next four days to avoid contagion of Covid-19.
In this regard, Arturo Valencia Ortiz, director of the Faculty of Medical and Biological Sciences “Dr Ignacio Chávez”, explained that there is a registry approximately 3 thousand applicants, but by protocol they are expected to arrive around 800 per shift, both morning and evening, however, they will be dispersed in different rooms to maintain the healthy distance and avoid crowds.
The director of the Faculty recalled that previously the exam was applied in a single day to the more than three thousand students, but they had to modify the protocol from the Covid-19 pandemic, so Saturday and Sunday will be for Medicine ( surgeon and midwife), on Monday August 17 It will be for those of Nutrition.
He specified that of the applicants they will only accept 525 students in Medicine, which will be divided into 20 sections and a node in Tangancícuaro, while in Nutrition will be 160 places available for students who pass the entrance exam.
The entrance exam has a duration of four hours; at the end of the disinfection of the classrooms in which it was applied and then at 3:00 p.m. allow access to another group of aspiring students.
The also coordinator of the UMSNH Entrance Commission clarified that the admission exam is also carried out as a process of transparency about it, since the number of applicants or applicants for the Faculty of Medicine grew.
Other exams that will be carried out are on August 17 for 520 spaces and on August 18 for Zootechnical Veterinary Doctor with 375 spaces and the Bachelor of Communication with 70 spaces.
The results will be published on September 1.
