The coronavirus has killed 54 people in the last 24 hours in a hospital in France, bringing the total toll to 29,209 victims since the start of the epidemic, according to the latest assessment communicated by the Directorate General of Health on Monday evening.
In detail, 18,859 people died in French hospitals and 10,350 people in social and medico-social establishments. This latest report dates from June 2 and will not be updated until Tuesday June 9.
The number of people hospitalized down
12,315 people are hospitalized in France due to Covid-19 infection, i.e. 381 fewer beds compared to the previous day. And 1,024 patients are hospitalized in intensive care, which represents 70 fewer beds compared to Sunday.
Four regions account for 75% of patients hospitalized in intensive care: these are Ile-de-France, Grand-Est, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Hauts-de-France.
Since the start of the epidemic, 102,729 people have been hospitalized in France due to the coronavirus. In addition, 71,062 people considered to be cured have been able to leave the hospital since the start of the epidemic in France.
