2,900 new doses of vaccine arrive at the hospital on Tuesday

The director of the Regional Health Agency in 64, Maritxu Blanzaco, indicates that a new shipment of doses of the Pfizer vaccine against Covid-19 will be delivered to Pau hospital on Tuesday.

2,900 new doses will be delivered to speed up the vaccination of residents of retirement homes and nursing staff in hospitals, clinics and nursing homes.

The first amplification: all liberal staff over 50 can also be this week in the Pau, Bayonne and Oloron vacicnations centers from this Thursday.

The Pau hospital saw the first regional vaccination in New Aquitaine on Monday, but it was initially only provided with 975 doses. In Bayonne, the hospital delivered on Wednesday received 5,000. This had provoked the wrath of local elected officials in Pau.

On Wednesday, 190 people were vaccinated in Pau and Bayonne, which barely opened its vaccination center. “The enthusiasm of nursing staff is considerable, the figure will increase every day,” said the director 64 of the regional health agency.

Enough to ensure regular deliveries of new doses. “The strategy is the more we vaccinate, the more we are delivered.”
