This Tuesday, property deeds were delivered to 27 families from the El Cega II community, in Izalco, in Sonsonate, who had to wait a process that lasted more than two decades; same that could be solved in 1997.

“This is the first step for you to change your way of living, to be able to invest and improve your homes, to be able to acquire basic services, so that you can improve the streets and the entire community”said the Minister of Housing, Michelle Sol. Who made the delivery to the inhabitants.

The official explained that, with the deeds, from this day on, families will be able to process basic services such as: drinking water, electricity, among others, for its nearly 200 inhabitants, who did not have documentation to support their properties. .

Thanks to the technical, legal and social work of the Housing System, the situation was resolved; the investment in this process of legalizing properties and delivering deeds amounted to $12,150.

Minister Sol highlighted that more than 45 thousand families have received property deeds during the Government of President Bukele, many of which have required political will and commitment, others are scams from subdivision companies, which is why work is being done from the Collective Cases Table in jointly with other institutions such as the Attorney General’s Office, Consumer Ombudsman’s Office, and the Attorney General’s Office.

With this successful delivery, the Government of El Salvador opens new opportunities for these and other families who have fought for years for the well-being of their loved ones.
