26 prisoners escaped to West Bekaa, Lebanon

Media reports said 26 prisoners escaped from a prison in Jib Jenin city in Lebanon’s western Bekaa region through the ventilation system.

The Lebanese website “Al-Nashra” says the security services have so far managed to arrest one prisoner, while investigations continue to determine the whereabouts of the other prisoners.

Last November, 18 prisoners of different nationalities escaped from Fasilat Amioun prison in Koura, in northern Lebanon.
