– Although the number of attendance at the inauguration ceremony is small, the Ministry of Defense mobilizes 25,000 national defense forces to fully guard the inauguration ceremony. The Army explained in a statement that “the National Guard will be in Washington DC to defend the capital.” Currently, there are 5,000 US troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and about 28,500 US troops in Korea.
