The disease in the city

Waideman explained that the municipality’s health department currently has six notifications for dengue, two of which are negative, two positive (including Larissa’s death) and two others awaiting the result.

“Larissa’s death from dengue hemorrhagic fever is the first case in the 10 years that I’ve worked in the municipality’s health department. We are in full action against dengue due to the rainy season. The municipality works annually on prevention and health promotion actions in the fight and elimination of the disease. Unfortunately, this fatality occurred with a worker who contributed to the fight against the disease”, he concluded.

On social media, the city hall mourned the young woman’s death and expressed condolences to Larissa’s family and friends.
