The following have applied for the Latvian Basketball Cup within the set term:
six Pafbet Latvian-Estonian League (LBL) teams: “VEF Rīga”, BC “Ogre”, BC “Ventspils”, “Valmiera Glass VIA”, “University of Latvia” and BC “Liepāja”;
ten LBL2 teams: BC “Jēkabpils”, BC “Jelgava” / LLU, “Gulbenes buki”, “BA Turība”, OC “Limbaži”, BC “Saldus”, “Kandava / Anzāģe”, BC “Ķekava”, RTU and “ VEF Basketball Academy in Valka ”;
five LBL3 teams: Iecava “Dartija”, BC “Cēsis” / Cēsis Sports School, BS “Tukums” / TSS, Rugāju SC and BC “Krāslava” / Sports School;
Maxibasball 40+ group champions “Garkalne runči”.
The organizers of the competition will additionally decide on the possibility to admit the joint team of BJBS “Rīga” for the cup competition.
The game system will be updated soon.
The tournament will start at the end of September. The winners of the Cup are expected to be announced in the final game on February 13. The place of the final game will be selected by competition.
