The effects of the corona pandemic are still devastating. On just one day, November 24, there were 21 fatalities in Lower Austria alone. Including a 49-year-old man from the Amstetten district who was vaccinated with Johnson & Johnson on May 6th. According to KURIER information, however, the man may have suffered from a previous illness.
A total of ten people (64 to 94 years old) who were not vaccinated died. The dead also include people who were already fully immunized.
In the Mödling district, a 94-year-old woman who was only given a booster vaccination with Biontech / Pfizer on November 11, died in the Mödling district of a 59-year-old who had also received full vaccination protection. However, it is not known whether there was also a previous illness in this case.
Cluster in the Scheibbs district
In addition, the largest corona cluster was still registered with an automotive supplier in the Scheibbs district on Thursday. The number of cases in the company has increased by seven to 47 compared to the previous day. In a metal processing company in the Scheibbs district, 28 infected people (plus two) were reported. In the Horn district, the number of those who tested positive fell by two to 26.
Larger clusters were also reported in two production companies in the Amstetten district: There were 24 infected people in one company, and a new hotspot around a company with 26 sick people. In the asylum care center in Traiskirchen (Baden district) 24 cases were recorded, one more than the day before.
