2024 Presidential Election: Vice Presidential Candidates Discuss Wadas Issue for Fourth Debate

While

Presidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowohopes that the Wadas issue will also be discussed in the fourth debate in the 2024 presidential election. Vice presidential candidate number 3 Mahfud Md has no problem.

“So, if you want to ask about Wadas, please ask. So what if you ask? That’s also good,” said Mahfud to journalists in Medan, North Sumatra (North Sumatra), Sunday (14/1/2024).

In fact, Mahfud said there was no problem if the Wadas issue was referred to as environmental damage. He considered this a good thing to discuss during the debate.

“Yes, that’s okay, it’s actually good,” he said.

Previously, environmental issues were one of the themes of the vice presidential debate next Sunday. CGanjar hopes that the Wadas issue will also be discussed in the debate.

“It’s better to discuss it, because I was telling friends who were in this room asking about Rembang cement which I completed, even though it wasn’t a Provincial Government program, I completed Wadas, it was PSN because we were trained to be responsible, yes, and it will be finished, God willing, it will be finished. “BPN is helping BBWS prepare the funds,” said Ganjar at Pos Bloc, Jakarta.

Ganjar said he had resolved the Wadas problem well. He also told about a number of projects that were rejected because they did not meet environmental requirements.

“Well, we resolved it well, but I also told you, did you know that I once rejected cement in Kebumen, I rejected cement in Rembang but not that one, I rejected the gold mine in Wonogiri,” said Ganjar.

As is known, the fourth debate for the 2024 presidential election is the debate between the two vice presidential candidates (cawapres). The debate will be held on January 21 2024 with the themes Sustainable Development, Natural Resources, Environment, Energy, Food, Agrarian Affairs, Indigenous Peoples and Villages.
