2024 Concerts in Frankfurt: Comebacks and Highlights after Corona Pandemic

StartseiteFrankfurt

2024 will also be marked by comebacks by German and international artists after the corona pandemic. What Frankfurt can look forward to.

Frankfurt – In 2023, the music industry will gradually recover. Concerts and festivals took place without Corona restrictions and the artists, whether German or international, all celebrated their comeback on stage one after the other. After three years of standstill, every pop singer, singer-songwriter and band seems to be looking for their way back. Most people want to party with their fans on tour.

Many acts have already announced themselves for Frankfurt and the demand for tickets seems to be high. We give an overview of the concerts for 2024 in the Festhalle Frankfurt, the Deutsche Bank Park, the Jahrhunderthalle, as well as the smaller venues ZOOM, Gibson, Batschkapp and Alte Oper.

This text is continually updated.

Festhalle Frankfurt: These concerts have already been confirmed for 2024

The Festhalle Frankfurt can accommodate up to 15,000 fans, making it the largest location in the Main metropolis for artists who play their concerts indoors. Scooter, among others, have already announced their 30th birthday tour for 2024.

Marius Müller-Westernhagen also wants to celebrate his 75th with a big party with his fans – and rapper Apache 207 is one of the names that sold out after a short time. But it’s always worth taking a look at the resale. Tickets are available here. There are also VIP upgrades for US star Olivia Rodrigo ticketmaster.de.

Deutsche Bank Park: This is what the 2024 open-air season offers – World Clube Dome only in September

If you’re looking for the really big bathroom in the crowd, come to the one in summer Deutsche Bank Park. In 2023, international superstars such as Beyoncé and Harry Styles did the honors. So far, two concerts have been scheduled for the open-air season. How many will follow is questionable – and the start of the season will also be postponed to 2024.

The reason is the men’s European Football Championship in June and July in Germany. Games in the home stadium of Eintracht Frankfurt are also played here. The World Club Dome festival will therefore not take place until September. The two musicians who have already been confirmed to perform at Deutsche Bank Park are Peter Maffay and Roland Kaiser. Tickets are available here.

And Rammstein also surprised its fans again after it was announced at the beginning of October that the rock band around frontman Till Lindemann would only perform in Dresden and Gelsenkirchen in Germany. On Tuesday, October 17th, Rammstein announced additional concerts – including Frankfurt. Concerts are planned in Deutsche Bank Park on July 11th and 12th. Advance ticket sales for Frankfurt start on November 9th.

Small but mighty: These stars are rocking the Jahrhunderthalle Frankfurt 2024

With a capacity of around 5,000 spectators, the Jahrhunderthalle Frankfurt is not a particularly large location, but it is still, or perhaps precisely because of that, very popular with fans and musicians. A look at the concert list for 2024 reveals that there is a lot on offer for people from the Rhine-Main area here too. Pop star Beatrice Egli, for example, is playing a second Hesse concert here – after an appearance in Wiesbaden in November 2023.

And newcomers such as the indie band Giant Rooks or the German shooting star Nina Chuba have also chosen the Jahrhunderthalle as the concert venue for their tour. Tickets for the appearance of German rapper Chuba were already sold out in summer 2023, although the concert will not take place until May 2024. So fans only have one chance to resell. Tickets are available here.

Zoom, Gibson, Batschkapp or Alte Oper: Frankfurt is looking forward to these concert highlights in 2024

Die Frankfurter Clubs ZOOM and Gibson as well as the smaller venues Batschkapp and Old opera always have highlights to offer. There should be something for almost every taste here. For example, DSDS juror Leony comes to ZOOM with her hits like “Remedy” and “Faded Love”. The Batschkapp has Prince Pi or the former ESC participant Max Mutzke on offer.

The Alte Oper probably appeals to a completely different target group. Here the people of Frankfurt can look forward to stars like Vicky Leandros and Mireille Mathieu.

On tour in Germany in 2024: Frankfurt comes away empty-handed with Taylor Swift and Take That

Superstar Taylor Swift is skipping Deutsche Bank Park on her upcoming world tour. She performs in Hamburg, Gelsenkirchen and Munich, among others.

Take That have also announced a European tour with 4 stops in Germany. However, Frankfurt is not on her appointment list. Advance sales for the cities of Hanover, Berlin, Mönchengladbach and Munich start on Thursday, October 19th.

PUR, Lena and Silbermond: German acts are also relying on the 2024 open-air season – Nena live in Hanau

German artists such as Lena Meyer-Landrut or the bands Silbermond and PUR will be seen live in 2024, but no concerts in Frankfurt or the surrounding area have been announced yet. However, PUR plays Open Air twice in Hesse – on the Domplatz in Fulda (July 13th) and in Kassel (August 23rd). So far, Silbermond has played, among other things, an open-air concert in Mainz (July 13th).

Lena Meyer-Landrut announced their first tour since 2019 on Friday, October 13th. Of the six dates, two are open-air concerts, such as the appearance at the Stadtpark Open Air in Hamburg. So it’s quite possible that there will be further festival dates here too – including in Hesse.

Bosse and Nena, on the other hand, don’t come to Frankfurt, but they are very close. Bosse announced his 2024 tour on Tuesday, October 17th, which will take him to Offenbach on April 27th. Like last year, pop icon Nena will perform open air in the Hanau Amphitheater – on two evenings in a row in August.
