Brazil vs Argentina presented in the quarterfinals 2023 U-17 World Cup. This is the Albiceleste’s moment to avenge their defeat in the U-17 Copa America several months ago.
Brazil advanced to the quarterfinals after beating Ecuador 3-1 in the last 16. Argentina is still progressing after eliminating Venezuela with a striking score of 5-0.
The two countries then had to face each other in the quarterfinals. Brazil vs Argentina was held at the Jakarta International Stadium, Friday (24/11/2023) evening WIB.
This is Argentina’s moment to avenge their defeat to Brazil in the U-17 Copa America last April. Argentina’s defeat made Brazil champions because they were at the top of the standings in the second round.
“Obviously this is an El Classico match. Both teams definitely want to win and we will give our best,” said the Argentina U-17 captain, Claudio Echeverri.
“In South America we felt bitter because they beat us. However, now we will take revenge at the World Cup,” he stressed.
Echeverri was the top scorer in the 2023 U-17 Copa America with five goals. This record is the same as two other Brazilian players, namely Kaua Elias and Rayan.
