2023 election calendar in the Official Gazette

The calendar prepared by the Supreme Election Board (YSK) for the 14 May presidential and parliamentary elections was published in the Official Gazette. While the starting date of the election calendar is set as March 18, 2023, the presidential candidate list will be finalized by being published in the Official Gazette on Friday, March 31.

According to the election calendar published in the Official Gazette; The nomination applications for the presidential candidacy by political parties to the YSK will start on Sunday, March 19, and will end on Thursday, March 23 at 17.00. On Friday, March 31, the final list of candidates for the President will be published in the Official Gazette. On the same day, the propaganda period for the presidential election will begin. Election propaganda will end on Friday, May 13. The parliamentary candidate lists will be finalized by being published in the Official Gazette on Wednesday, April 19th.

LAST DAY FOR ALLIANCE PROTOCOL MARCH 24

Friday, March 24, is the last day of submitting the alliance protocol, which includes the signatures of the leaders of the political parties that have decided to participate in the elections by alliance, to the YSK.

On Monday, March 20, the voter lists will be suspended. These listings will be unsuspended on Sunday, April 2nd. Objections to the pending lists will be decided on 3 April.

Votes will be cast for the Presidential Election and the 28th Term Deputy General Election on Sunday, May 14. If the candidates for the presidential election do not get enough votes in the first round, the second round will be held on Sunday, May 28.

VOTING ABROAD WILL BEGIN ON APRIL 27

On Wednesday, April 12, the domestic and international voter registers will be finalized, and the place where the voters will cast their votes and the ballot boxes will be determined. On Thursday, April 27, voting will begin at the customs gates and abroad. Voting abroad will end on Tuesday, May 9th. In the event that the presidential election goes to the second round, the voting process abroad and at the customs gates will start on Saturday, May 20 and end on Wednesday, May 24.
