Bola.net – The Palestinian national team achieved a crucial victory in the final match of Group C of the 2023 Asian Cup. Facing Hong Kong National TeamPalestine was able to win with a score of 3-0.
Palestine’s winning goal was provided by a brace Elder Dabbagh and one goal from Zaid Qunbar.
Thanks to this result, Palestine is one step closer to qualifying for the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup by securing the best third place slot. Meanwhile, Hong Kong had to settle for closing this tournament as caretaker.

The Course of the Match
The match which was held at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium was fierce. Both teams appeared pressing from the start of the match.
Palestine managed to open the scoring in the 12th minute. Oday Dabbagh got his name on the scoreboard after his header using Batat’s pass resulted in a goal.
This goal made Palestine more confident in attacking. Meanwhile Hong Kong tried to get out of the pressure but they experienced difficulties. The 1-0 score lasted until halftime.
In the second half, Palestine immediately stepped on the gas. Only three minutes into the second half, Zaid Quanbar found the back of the Hong Kong goal with a header. This goal was briefly checked by VAR, but in the end this goal was approved, so the score became 2-0.
Not long after, Palestine managed to score the third goal in the 60th minute. Oday Dabbagh managed to score his goal with a volley. The score changed to 3-0.
In injury time, Hong Kong was awarded a penalty. But unfortunately Camargo was the one who took the shot and hit the crossbar. The score 3-0 closed the match in the second half.
