During the Chinese evening, the president of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, visited the headquarters of Casa Italia in Yanqing. Bach was welcomed by the general secretary of Coni and head of mission of Italy, Carlo Mornati. The number one in world sport was accompanied by the sporting director of the IOC, Kit McConnell, and by the director for relations with the IOC Olympic Committees, James McLeod. President Bach met with chef Graziano Prest who prepared some specialties of Italian cuisine for him. The president of Coni, Giovanni Malagò, was not present because he was in Beijing to follow the short track competitions: there was a telephone conversation between Malago ‘and Bach. VIDEO–
