The voters of Basse-Terre had to decide between the finalists of the second round of municipal elections in their city. An election that smiled on André Atallah to the detriment of Marie-Luce Penchard
In the first round, with 32.66% of the votes cast, André Attalah came out ahead in front of the other four competitors, including the outgoing mayor Marie-Luce Penchard who had obtained 31.38% of the votes cast.
Arrived in 3rd and 4th position, Brigitte Rodes and Sonia Pétro had chosen to make an alliance with André Atallah for the second round.
Results of the 2nd round:
Registered 9318. Voters 5036 (54.05%). Expressed 4,770 (51.19%) André Atallah 2,588 (54.26%). Marie-Luce Penchard 2,182 (45.74%)
