20-year-old sentenced to two years in prison for violent attack during Montluçon brawl

A 20-year-old young man was sentenced by the tribunal Montluçon Correctional Facility (Allier) Monday. He was sentenced to two years in prison for attacking a man during a brawl. The events took place on Wednesday October 4, reports La Montagne. For a reason still unknown, an argument broke out in front of an association café in Montluçon shortly before 10 p.m.

The defendant, who had a knife on him that evening, was found guilty of violently attacking a man who was heading towards the association café. Before that, he had insulted him. Five days of ITT were prescribed to the victim. “He wanted to kill me, not scare me,” she said, quoted by our colleagues.

During the hearing, the young man assured that the knife did not belong to him. He explained that he found it there and waved it to ward off the crowd. Alcoholic during the events, he himself received blows. Ten days of ITT were prescribed to him. For his part, the victim admitted to having thrown a few blows during the fight, which was filmed by the city’s video surveillance cameras.
