It was this summer that 20-year-old Monica Jusu Bah joined BK Häcken from the elite team Umeå.
Since then, things have gone fast for the talented winger.
Among other things, she has contributed to the Hising team making it all the way to the Champions League quarter-finals – and last week she was selected for the Swedish national team for the first time.
“Very grateful”
– I am very grateful to be here. It feels great to play with all these fantastic players, says Jusu Bah to SVT Sport.
She has previously suffered from a cruciate ligament injury during her career. The talent believes that the injury absence was a learning period.
– Somewhere during this trip I have only thought positively. It has enabled me to come back even stronger and I have not taken anything for granted, she says.
Praised by teammate
One of several who choose to pay tribute to Jusu Bah is her teammate in Häcken, Jennifer Falk.
– I would say that she is energetic, both on and off the field. She plays with speed and has good finishing. She has shown that in the Champions League, she says and adds:
