2.9 magnitude earthquake was registered in Valencia

An earthquake of magnitude 2.9 was registered this Thursday night in Valencia, Carabobo state. This is confirmed by Funvisis.

The telluric movement originated 15 kilometers northeast of the capital of Carabobo and at a depth of 13.7 kilometers.

The tremor was felt at exactly 8:40 pm on this June 25.

However, the Venezuelan Seismological Research Foundation urged citizens to remain calm, since seismic events of this magnitude are considered normal.

“Events of this nature are normal in Venezuela, since we live in a seismic country,” he insisted.
