2.5 percent more money with textile service providers

The employees of textile service providers, especially large laundries, will receive more money from March. This will implement what IG Metall and employers agreed in 2020:

Wages and salaries will increase by 2.5 percent – at least by 50 euros in the west and 60 euros in the east. At the same time, the training allowances increase significantly from 707 to 995 euros in the west and 651 to 905 euros in the east per year of training – to now nationwide remuneration of 750 to 1000 euros per month.

In addition, there is a higher monthly payment by the employer for partial retirement of 565 euros.

More vacation and Christmas bonuses

The result of the collective bargaining last year also provides for 2021: 60 euros more vacation pay and 60 euros more Christmas pay. The tariffs for the textile services mainly affect employees at large laundries who wash work clothes for companies.

Miriam Bürger, IG Metall negotiator: “The employees deserve it! The colleagues have achieved a lot in the last few months. With their system-relevant work, they have contributed to the fight against the pandemic, sometimes under difficult conditions. Now it has to be a matter of getting the economy going again and that also requires increasing incomes for employees. “
