An official source at the Health Insurance Authority confirmed that 18 cases of the medical team at 6th of October Hospital in Dokki were infected with the emerging coronavirus, and the cases were transferred for treatment at the Isolation Hospital.
The source told “Seventh Day” that the hospital had been completely sterilized, and that the service had not stopped and it was still receiving all health insurance users and offering them treatment.
On Friday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that the total number of people recovering from the virus had increased to 2799 after 173 Corona virus patients were discharged from isolation and quarantine hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovering according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization.
A statement by the ministry explained that the number of cases whose laboratory results have been converted from positive to negative for Corona virus (Covid-19) increased to 3363 cases, including the 2799 recovered..
The statement added that 399 new cases, positive of laboratory analyzes of the virus, were registered as part of the ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 21 new cases.
