Family member Ron Barbosa, an EMT volunteer who married a doctor and did not attend the party, told KHOU that the birthday celebration was for his son-in-law, and was attended by 25 people.
Barbosa said his niece hosted the party and was unknowingly infected with the corona virus.

Furthermore, Borbosa said that his nephew also went to play golf with relatives before the party, and interacted with seven family members who later contracted the virus and passed it on to 10 other family members, including two small children.
“Next thing you know, the two nephews who basically live next to them, they suffer from the same cough and diarrhea, body ache, and they start to get sick,” Barbosa told Buzzfeed News.

As a result, three people who are an elderly couple and cancer patients are now being treated in hospital. The three are Barbosa’s parents and sister.
Barbosa told WFAA that the party had followed health regulations, but he and his wife did not go to the party as a precaution during the corona virus pandemic.
“When people start getting sick, we really let everyone have it,” Barbosa told WFAA.

Barbosa told KHOU that her sister, Kathy, was recovering, and her mother, Carole, had been released from the hospital.

“My father is hanging by a thread,” Barbosa said.
“They say this is one of the last straws for my father.” he explained.
After becoming one of the first states to ease locking orders, Texas has seen an increase in the Covid-19 case in recent weeks.
