20. October In 1978, the movie “Grease” came out. This year, therefore, the creators of the film can celebrate that the film turns 43 years old! What is special about “Grease” is that it is still popular.
Here, the “Grease” couple reunites after 40 years
Although the film came out in the 70’s, many are born many years after what has a special relationship to the film. The same goes for “Dirty Dancing”, for example!
We will probably never forget the love affair between Danny and Sandy, songs like “Summer Nights” and “You’re The One That I Want”, and the character Rizzo who also made a big impression.

The latter character was played by Stockard Channing (77). Since “Grease” came out, Channing has been seen in the series “The West Wing” as the character First Lady Abbey Bartlet.

But that’s probably the role of Rizzo Channing she’s best known for. In the film, she played the toughest girl at Rydell High School. You may also remember from the movie that she thinks she is pregnant and that rumors are swirling at school.

Roger, played by Kelly Ward (65), was among those closest. He was 21 years old when the film came out. Dinah Manoff (65) played the character Marty and was only a year older Kelly Ward. Jamie Donnelly (74) played the role of Jan and had perhaps the film’s most childish role.

Therefore, they never became anything more than friends
Starring Olivia Newton-John (73) and John Travolta (67) were also not in their teens when the film was shot or released. Newton-John was 30 and Travolta had turned 24 that year.
