The advance of the coronavirus at De Tweemaster in Maassluis continues. 17 residents and 8 employees have now been infected.
A spokesperson informed the WOS on request. In the fight against the virus, all employees, volunteers and clients are now tested preventively. The GGD also conducts contact research in collaboration with De Tweemaster.
Argos Zorggroep says it is doing everything it can to combat the corona virus in De Tweemaster. For example, there has been a visit stop since Wednesday 24 June. “A difficult, but necessary decision to prevent spread. Care and treatment is constantly coordinated by our Medical Infection Prevention Team and we follow stricter protocols in line with the advice of the RIVM and the GGD. There are also sufficient protective equipment and knowledge to use.”
All infected clients move to the special one high care department in the Marnix rehabilitation center in Vlaardingen. Here they receive the necessary care from residents who are not infected with the corona virus. For a long time, the Maassluise nursing home was completely corona-free. “But now that our homes are open to visitors, we see that the virus has unfortunately entered De Tweemaster. Our residents are vulnerable,” said a spokesperson earlier this week. Argos hopes that the contact research will provide more insights.
