17 new cases of Covid at the Anne-Laffont nursing home in Colomiers –

The Covid-19 circulates in the Anne-Laffont nursing home in Colomiers. In previous tests, 14 positive cases had been discovered. This week, there are 17 new patients.

The PCR test campaign, carried out on Wednesday January 20 and Thursday January 21, 2021, identified 17 new cases of Covid-19, among residents in Colomiers, with mainly a symptom of fatigue. During previous tests carried out in January, 14 cases had been identified.

Among the positive cases declared since the start of this health crisis at the nursing home, three
very frail residents have died, a resident is currently hospitalized with a
prognosis initiated and a resident is now negative on the Covid test.

To date, all municipal officers working at the Colomiers nursing home are negative.

In view of the number of positive residents, the entire organization of the structure has been adapted. Outside visits are still impossible and room containment for residents is maintained until the situation improves.

The entire municipal team is mobilized, in particular by organizing
telephone meetings between residents and parents.

The Mayor, Karine Traval-Michelet, President of the Communal Center for Social and Health Action of Colomiers, is in constant contact with the Director General of Services and the Director of the nursing home, in order to follow very attentively the developments and bring the full support of the Municipality and the community to families.

The Occitanie Regional Health Agency (ARS) supports the equipment management with the Toulouse University Hospital to make the right decisions in the always best interests of dependent elderly people.
