USA saw 991 deaths from gun violence among people 17 and under in 2019according to the Gun Violence Archive website, which tracks shootings from more than 7,500 law enforcement, media, government and commercial sources. That number skyrocketed to 1,375 in 2020 and this year it’s going to be worse. As of Wednesday, the shootings claimed the lives of 1,165 youths and injured 3,216.
