Authorities found the bodies of 14 people on Federal Highway 45, in the municipality of Fresnillo, Zacatecas, near the Cerro Gordo community.
The state Public Security Spokesperson stated that the bodies were transferred to the Zacatecan Institute of Forensic Sciences (IZCF), to determine sex and causes of death.
The bodies were wrapped in blankets and tied with gray tape, according to the Reforma newspaper.

Governor Alejandro Tello ordered to reinforce the presence of state and federal corporations.
The state president called an extraordinary meeting of the Local Coordination Group (GCL), to propose an immediate action strategy.
The Office also confirmed the discovery of the body of a man wrapped in blankets in the Río Frío community in Calera.
