Gravel gardens just make me believe that no path in my life is too rocky.

You have certainly seen them yourself or are even the owner of one: gravel gardens. The truly wondrous works of art that adorn many a property and enhance it optically. Well, many of us gravel fans should be saddened by the following news: According to several media reports, the Lower Saxony Higher Administrative Court has now made it clear that the gravel gardens in Lower Saxony may be banned by the responsible authorities. You can even get rid of them now! Can you belive that?

I’m just as shocked as you are and that’s why I have to share some of the most beautiful gravel gardens with you. And who has the best sources for that? Exactly, the Facebook page “Gardens of Horror“, who has been diligently collecting real gems for years. Here we go!

1. I mean look at this. The true interaction of real nature really only comes out in a gravel garden:

2. The plants and trees are nowhere as alive as here!

3. Every time I see a gravel garden, I just feel welcome right away.

4. After all, they are always so attractively structured.

5. So gray on gray on gray is the strongest color combination of all.

6. It also never seems like someone just doesn’t feel like tending the garden.

7. Pure desire and passion for horticulture flows here.

8. This goes so well, the gravel gardens even attract mythical creatures like these winged rhinos.

9. Gravel + artificial turf = a lot of love for nature <3:

10. But with all the green stuff, let’s not forget the important green: the soccer turf!

11. Gravel gardens just make me believe that no path is too rocky.

12. Because this is where people and animals feel most comfortable:

13. And nature too, of course.

Oh and in case it wasn’t made clear: sarcasm! Gravel gardens are ugly and terrible for the environment. Thank you very much.

And now to be serious: Here are 28 photos that clearly prove: nature is the most beautiful art.
