The Ministry of Health and Social Action takes stock of the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in Senegal, this Sunday, June 28, 2020. Out of 1,179 tests carried out, 127 returned positive, ie a positivity rate of 10 , 8%.
These are 104 contact cases already followed up, including 2 imported cases recorded in the Saint-Louis region and 21 cases resulting from community transmission. These are distributed as follows: 03 in Mbao, 03 in Rufisque, 02 in Guédiawaye, 02 in Kaolack, 02 in Thiès, 02 in Bopp, 02 in Patte D’Oie, 01 in Cité Sipress, 01 in Yoff, 01 in Bignona, 01 in Diourbel, 01 in Kaffrine, 01 in Mbour and 01 in Touba.
The Director of Cabinet of the Minister of Health also announced the healing of 36 patients who were on treatment and 27 serious cases. Three (3) new deaths related to covid-19 were recorded on Saturday June 27, 2020.
To date, Senegal has 6,586 cases declared positive, of which 4,291 have been cured, 105 died and therefore 2,189 under treatment.
