MAINFRANKEN REGION – The many talks and visits on site and the advice given to applicants have paid off for the SPD member of the state parliament, Volkmar Halbleib: a total of 125,000 euros are now flowing into the Mainfranken region from funds from the Kulturfonds Bayern.
The deputy emphasizes that the financial commitment remains in the event of a necessary postponement or other corona-related changes and also covers costs for necessary cancellations.

Halbleib is pleased that the funds for the proposed projects for many artists come at just the right time, as the art and culture scene in particular is suffering from the consequences of the corona pandemic. The deputy emphasizes that the financial commitment remains in the event of a necessary postponement or other corona-related changes and also covers costs for necessary cancellations. “But what is important is the signal to the cultural initiatives in the region, which are particularly important in these times.”
The following applicants from the Main Franconia region have now received their funding approval for the projects mentioned:
–
the city of Würzburg for the special exhibition “Longing for Italy in Expressionism” in the museum in the Kulturspeicher 23,500 euros
