Parts of the Accident and Emergency Department of Tuen Mun Hospital were flooded during the heavy rain at 1:00 p.m. today. The hospital said that the emergency room of the Accident and Emergency Department, some consultation locations, and the underground part of the operating room building were flooded. The emergency department services were once affected. 12 patients who called for ambulances needed to be sent directly by ambulances to the emergency departments of Pok Oi Hospital and Tin Shui Wai Hospital for treatment. As for the patients who went to the emergency department of Tuen Mun Hospital by themselves, they had to wait for a long time time.

The hospital said emergency repairs and clearing of the clogged stormwater well were arranged. The repair work was completed at 4 p.m., and emergency department services resumed normal.

During the rainstorm, water leaks also occurred on the roof of the operating room building of the hospital. The operating room of the delivery room on the 9th floor had to be temporarily closed, and the main operating room was reserved as a backup. The hospital is undergoing emergency repair work.

The hospital deeply apologizes for the inconvenience and impact this incident has caused to the patients.
