The facade and stone balcony wall of an apartment building in Alblasserdam were badly damaged by fireworks on Friday evening. All windows are outside the facade, a door is dislocated. The balcony wall was so badly damaged and therefore unstable that it was pulled down in a controlled manner by the fire brigade. The resident of the apartment on the Blokweerweg said so alblasserdamsnieuws.nl who was sleeping when they were awakened by a strange bang. The houses above and below the stricken house were also damaged. Nobody was injured. There is no reason to assume that this house was deliberately chosen to launch the fireworks on the balcony.
