Sleep two nights, eat at a restaurant, visit a site in Charente or Charente-Maritime and receive a check for 100 euros after your stay:
it is the offer that these two departments offer this summer to support tourism.
This support plan of one million euros will take the form of 10,000 “Infinitely Charentes” vouchers with a nominal value of € 100 “intended for French and international holidaymakers to support the players of the Charentes”, announced Tuesday Charentes Tourism, the economic and tourist development agency common to the two departments.
Refund on presentation of invoices
“The system will allow 10,000 households to benefit from this support for a stay in the Charentes between July 1 and November 1, 2020,” said the organization in a press release.
After choosing an “Infinitely Charentes” destination and having it validated via a dedicated website, “you must at least have stayed two nights, have eaten in a traditional restaurant and discovered a leisure activity or a site for visits” to get a refund, says Charentes Tourism. This reimbursement will be made upon sending of invoices upon return from vacation.

Benefits “between 3 and 15 million euros” expected
The operation will be financed by the two departments up to € 650,000 (Charente-Maritime) and € 350,000 (Charente) but could also “be supplemented by public establishments for inter-municipal cooperation” of the two Charentes.
Charentes Tourisme hopes that this action will inject “between 3 and 15 million euros” into the local economy. According to this organization, the tourism sector concerns more than 16,700 jobs and more than 5,000 companies in the two Charente departments, for 35 million overnight stays and a turnover of 1.9 billion euros.
