10 Nerazzurri Players Beaten at Home

Inter Milan fell at home to Empoli in the continued Serie A Italian League. Playing with 10 men since the first half, Inter ended up losing 0-1.

Duel Inter vs Empoli held at the Giuseppe Meazza, Tuesday (24/1/2023) in the morning WIB. Inter were reduced to 10 men in the 40th minute after Milan Skriniar received a red card.

Empoli was able to take advantage of the player’s advantage well. The visitors broke into Andre Onana’s goal through Tommaso Baldanzi’s kick in the 66th minute.

With this result, stuck in third place italian league standings with 37 points from 19 matches. Meanwhile, Empoli climbed to ninth place with 25 points.

Course of the Match

Empoli started the match aggressively. The visitors had appeared more dominant over Inter.

Empoli got a chance through Nicolo Cambiaghi’s kick. However, the kick ball can be anticipated by Andre Onana.

Inter had their first shot after 20 minutes. From the right, Matteo Darmian found Hakan Calhanoglu who then crossed. Unmarked Federico Dimarco met the ball with a volley, but the Emmpoli goalkeeper was blocked with his feet.

Inter had to play with 10 men from the 40th minute. Milan Skriniar received a red card after receiving a second yellow card for raising his foot too high when trying to block the ball. Skriniar’s leg hit Francesco Caputo’s head.

Chance for Empoli at the end of the first half. Tyronne Ebuehi released a pass from the right and Caputo forwarded it with a header while dropping down. His efforts led right to Onana.

Empoli, who had the superior number of players, finally succeeded in breaking into Inter’s goal in the 66th minute. Substitute Tommaso Baldanzi successfully beat Onana.

From the right side, Bajrami passed to Baldanzi who was in front of the penalty box. Baldanzi fired low and Onana failed to stop the ball from rolling under him.

Inter included Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku to add to the banging power. Dzeko got the first chance with a volley from Calhanoglu’s pass, but it went wide of the Empoli goal.

Inter almost found the Empoli goal from a corner. Unfortunately for Inter, De Vrij’s header hit the crossbar.
