First weekend of November, the weather won’t be the best and rain is expected on both Saturday and Sunday, but Rome doesn’t stop even in the face of bad weather and offers a weekend full of events for all tastes and all ages.
The coming weekend will be a watershed weekend: on the one hand there are the last events of a Halloween which has continued until Sunday, on the other there are already the first Christmas decorations and events, still far away but, ultimately, not so much. Then, space for markets, street food, theater shows, for a weekend full of culture, fun and taste.

Free museums
Come back to the museum for free on Sundays. On November 5, the first Sunday of the month, as usual, in the capital you will be able to visit the spaces of the Museum System of Rome Capital and some archaeological areas of the city for free. Among these are the Sacred Area of Largo Argentina, the archaeological area of the Circus Maximus and the Imperial Forums. The state museums in Rome and its province are also open free of charge: Castel Sant’Angelo, Museo Etrisco di Villa Giulia, Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este, just to name a few, because the list is really long. The Escher exhibition
An exhibition entirely dedicated to Escher arrived in the city on October 31st. It is located in Palazzo Bonaparte and can obviously also be visited this weekend. The exhibition is configured as an exceptional event which presents to the public, in addition to his most famous masterpieces, also numerous unpublished works never exhibited before. An anthology of around 300 works which includes the now iconic Hand with reflecting sphere (1935), Bond of Union (1956), Metamorphosis II (1939), Day and Night (1938), the famous Emblemata series, and many other. Furthermore, to embellish the exhibition itinerary, there is also a reconstruction of the studio that Escher had in Baarn in Holland which, here in Rome, displays inside the various original instruments with which the Master produced his works and the portable easel that Escher himself he took with him on his wanderings through Italy. Festival of Light
In the heart of Italian autumn, an ancient Hindu celebration is preparing to color the cities with brilliant lights and atmospheres full of spirituality.
