According to the Ministry of Health and Social Services, 10.7% of CIUSSS MCQ users no longer require hospital care.
There are 108 of them waiting for a place in accommodation or to obtain a place in a service outside the hospital.
Across the province, they would be a little over 2,000, which would represent 13% of those who are there, a peak since the start of the pandemic according to Radio-Canada.
Again this summer, the situation is critical in Quebec hospitals as the occupancy rate of emergency room stretchers exceeds 100%.
Among the reasons for this overflow, note the closure of certain beds and the summer holidays.
