The formula for the quota distribution of ministries is currently 10-4-4-3.
PP will have 10 positions, together with Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and two Deputy Prime Ministers – these are Asen Vasilev, who will also be Minister of Finance, and Kalina Konstantinova, who as Deputy. Prime Minister will be responsible for the administrative reform. This name has not yet been finalized.
In addition, the Ministries of Education and the Ministry of the Interior are also for the PP, where Nikolay Denkov and Boyko Rashkov keep their positions, respectively, and for defense – for the moment, acting Prime Minister Stefan Yanev is nominated for this post.
And more – transport, culture and healthcare. The Ministry of Economy is divided into two – one will be for growth and innovation and will be headed by Daniel Laurer, and the other – will lead state-owned enterprises. It goes to the BSP and the proposal for a name at the moment is for Cornelia Ninova, who will also be deputy prime minister. The left also takes the ministries of agriculture, tourism and social policy.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Energy, Sports and Regional Development are designated for ITN, the former MP from the Republic of Belarus Grozdan Karadjov is the favorite there. ITN has not yet agreed to have a deputy prime minister.
For DB, these are justice, electronic management and digitalization, as this name is also being specified, and ecology, as the Minister of Ecology will also hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Climate Change. Nominated for these positions are Nadezhda Yordanova, Bozhidar Bojanov and Borislav Sandov, respectively.
The allocation of positions and names are not yet final, changes are possible at the last moment, BNR sources indicate.
